Step by step guide on how to clean a Braun Silk Epil 9 #

For this tutorial you will need the following tools :

① Screwdriver

② Antistatic Brush

Step 1 : Remove the Cap #

Press with two fingers on both sides of the cap to remove it.

Step 2: Remove screws at the bottom of the head #

There are two screws at the back of the head. By using a small screwdriver you can easely access-it and unscrew it.

Step 3: Extract the gears #

You don't need tools for this step, the gears will separate themeselves from the casing and the tweezers.

Step 4: Brush the gears to remove every stuck hair #

Extract the gears and brush heavely with the antistatic brush to remove stucked hair.

Remove all the hair that can sneak into the gears and damage your epilator. You can continue by sanitizing the gears with soap to remove the grease.

Step 5: Mount everything back #

We putting all the pieces together, place the metalic part in front of the arrow on the casing.

Step 6: Give all the external parts a good cleaning #

Grab your antistatic brush and remove the hair on the tweezers as well as the body of the epilator

Find a Silk Epil 9 replacement head before having to change all the epilator #

If during the operation you find out that the internal gears of the head are clog with too much hair you might want to buy a replacement head for your epilator.

Clogged heads might cause a slow epilation as well as battery damage, making the epilator unusable and the process painfull.
